Tough Times

Well, its been a crazy couple of weeks. We've been trying to get things ready to move to Utah but right in the middle of everything my parents were in a motorcycle accident. My mom was pretty scraped up and had a huge puffy eye but is doing fine now. My dad ended up with a broken shoulder, a broken eye socket and cheek bone, alot of road rash and a concusion. He just had surgery on his shoulder this morning and is expected to make a full recovery. Needless to say its been a stressfull couple of weeks.
We have alot more to do to get ready for the move but we should be outta here this weekend assuming that my dad is feeling alright. Anyway, hopefully nothing else goes wrong between now and than, in which case we'll see you all very soon. We love you and hope youre all doing well.

ITS BEEN DECIDED

So after a couple of months of talking things over, Marshall and I decided that Utah is where we want to be. We've tried a couple of different place out and Utah is just what fits for us. Plus we miss the snow. No i take that back...I miss the snow. Its also been really hard on Quincy. She doesnt have any family here close to her age so atleast once a week she cries that she misses Becca and Anna. She's so excited to be close to them again. Marshall will be heading out in about three weeks to start getting things settled. Then Quincers and I will be there before christmas...hopefully. It seems that we always make these kinds of changes around the holidays and Marshall is sick to death of missing them. Anyway, if anyone spots any good job opportunities or apartments please let us know. We love and miss you all

American Idol

Well the American Idol auditions were a blast. They had the whole crowd singing and dancing at one point...even Marshall joined in. I was in one of the last groups to audition and unfortunatly didnt get through. But im ok with that because I heard sooo many amazing singers that didnt get through. It was actually a little sad to see all the people that were torn apart by not getting through to the next round. I did get some good comments from the judges though and was told that I have a wonderful voice but its just not ready for this competition but that I should definatly try again next year, which is ok with me considering the little amount of time I had to pick and practice a song. Anyway, Im sooo glad that Marshall made me go and hopefully next year I'll find out that they are having auditions more than 1 day before. Anyway, thanks for the support you all showed....I had the best time.

Wish Me Luck

Early this morning Marshall and I decided to drive out to the jobings.com Arena in Glendale where they are registering people to audition for American Idol Season 8. So tomorrow at 5am we get to drive back out and im gonna audition. Woo-Whoo!!! Its just the first audition but if I make it through, I'll get to audition for Simon, Randy and Paula in a couple months. Not really getting my hopes set too high but this should atleast be a fun experience. So...wish me luck.

UTAH TRIP

Just a quick note...we're leaving tomorrow and heading out to utah for a few days. So if anyone wants to get together let us know. It'd be great to see everyone and catch up a bit. Love you all. Oh also, on friday night we're going to see The Sound of Music at Butterfield Park in Harriman. The show starts at 7pm and tickets are 8 dollars if anyone is interested.

Our Diamondback's 4th of July

Today we went to the Diamondback's game against the Padres. Even though our team lost we had a blast. Quincy got a Diamondback's Rattler and played with it through the entire game. She also got to go and play in the huge Diamondback's playground.
I think that Marshall was most excited about the field side swimming pool that they have there at Chase Field. Woo-Whoo!!!
After the game they shut off all the lights and started opening the roof. Quincy got so excited and started yelling, "woo-whoo its time for fireworks". We couldnt see them very well when they started so we got our stuff and went out side to where we could see them. They were awesome!!! Marshall and I were glad that Quincy got to see the fireworks because she was pretty upset that we didnt get to set off our own like last year. Anyway, it was a pretty great day. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We love and miss you all.

Just an Update

As everyone knows we've been out here in Arizona for a few months now and things are going well. Marshall is working for a company called Canteen Service. Basically he gets to stand around and make sure that prison inmates working in the kitchen do their jobs. He likes it ok for now but is planning on applying for a position as a Corrections Officer. He has also been writing and playing songs with my little brother. I think he's glad to have someone around that he can skate and play guitar with.
Quincy is just as crazy as ever. Her hair is starting to get pretty long now and its very very curly still. She spends at least a couple of hours a day in the pool and has gotten very good at swimming. Marshall taught her to dive and flip off of the waterfall and they both love watching me have a heart attack everytime she does it. She's also starting dance and tumbling classes next month. She's super excited about it and asks me everyday if its next month yet.
As for me I've just been working with Quincy on her letters and numbers, taking care of all the cooking and cleaning, and just trying to make things run smoothly here until we get a place of our own. Im also hoping to start selling Mary Kay soon.
Anyway, as the weather here gets hotter and hotter we all miss Utah more and more. Hopefully we'll be able to visit soon. We all miss everyone so much. But we'll keep everyone updated on things on our end. Love you and miss you all.
